Yasujiro Ozu - Tôkyô boshoku (Tokyo Twilight) (1957)

Yasujiro Ozu's movies usually tell stories of the lives of ordinary people. Tokyo Twilight is a rather depressing story of one such family. Three people, a father and his 2 daughters. The daughters learn about the existence of their mother who left them when they were kids. This is Ozu's last B&W movie.
