Jûzô Itami - Sûpâ no onna (Supermarket Woman) (1996)


A supermarket store Honest Goro, faces competition from rival store Bargain Galore. Same time the owner Goro, meets a old classmate of his, Hanako. Impressed by her understanding on how a supermarket business should be run, he decides to hire her. Hanako then brings in changes that are well received by the customers. But folks at Bargain Galore won't be sitting ducks either.
Hanako is played Nobuko Miyamoto, who was married to the director Jûzô Itami, until his death. She starred in many of his films.
